I had the glorious opportunity to look at my uterus and fallopian tubes today. I realize that not everyone is so lucky as to know the shape of their inner parts like I am.
My tubes are kind of squiggly- and they are long! (Well, probably no longer than anyone else's, but the dye goes for a really long time before it reaches the end). When you see pictures of these things, you just see pear shaped uterus, two stick-y things coming out on either side, and some ovaries. With the HSG, the uterus looks more like a triangle, and the fallopian tubes remind me a bit of pieces of yarn.
I asked for a picture (everyone else gets to have pictures of their ultrasounds, why can't I have a picture of my uterus?) but apparently they don't do that. So, you have to use your imagination (actually, don't. Really not all that exciting).
Anyway that was my very exicting day.
